North Royalton Student in National Spelling Bee

Anamika Veeramani, of North Royalton, is a seventh-grader at Incarnate Word Academy of Parma Heights. Her coach is Janice Hearst. Veeramani is one of the entrants who survived the preliminary rounds and will compete in the semifinals of the spelling bee competition. The winner of the finals of the 82nd Scripps National Spelling Bee receives more than $40,000 in cash and prizes.

Anamika Veeramani spelled "olivaceous" to win the Plain Dealer Cuyahoga County Scripps Spelling Bee. Anamika Veeramani also won in 2008 in North South Foundation vocabulary competition.
