Asians Indians: Democrats or Republicans?

So, the answer to the question, are Asian Indians, Democrats or Republicans, is easy. They lean towards the Democratic party.  But.  There are exceptions to this general rule.  There are more Democrats among Asian Indians than Republicans.

Republican Party and Asian Indians

The rich and the richer among Asian Indians tend to be Republican party oriented in their business lives and somewhat Democrat party leaning in their personal lives.  These group of haves is likely to vote Republican.  This group would include physicians of Indian origin in private practice and business owners.  This group thinks that they made their money by their own efforts and they are entitled to keep it with minimal tax deductions and folks on government support (African Americans, that's the stereotype) do not deserve it.

Bobby Jindal, governor of Louisiana and Nikki Haley, governor of South Carolina are of Asian Indian ethnicity.

Democratic Party and Asian Indians

The employee Asian Indians tend to be supporters of Democratic party.  Why is this?  The reasons are mainly psychological.  I think its because of the Indian religious culture and its concepts of dharma and vasudaiva kutumbakam.

Jay Goyal was a member of the Ohio House of Representatives.  He was a Democrat representing the 73rd District, which included the city of Mansfield and other parts of Richland County.

Whatever the political party Asian Indians favor, their turnout for voting is probably not strong.  Why?  Because they don't want to deal with the hassle of jury duty!  Asian Indians do not vote as a block.  Some Asian Indians do make political contributions but expect something in return; often a disproportionate return.  Quid pro quo.  Since most candidates up for election, ignore contributors who donate relatively small amounts, once they are elected; candidates can bet on Asian Indians stopping making additional and future political contributions.

US Politics vs India Politics

Politics is politics, irrespective of the country; its dirty.  The liberal parties are the Democratic party and Indian National Congress.  The conservative parties are Republican and Bharatiya Janata Party.

H1B Visa Immigration Fraud Scheme by Indian Origin Man Alleged

An Indian origin businessman allegedly involved in an alleged H1B immigration visa fraud scheme.  Surprise, surprise,  Not. Many Asian Indians in the US and elsewhere are not unfamiliar with the feeling that these kinds of schemes go on in a few Indian cities involving a few/several Indian IT companies.

Get one IT employee for a reduced price and get a second employee for half the price, which for-profit corporation, would not like considering this package?  This is body shopping.   Fair quality work performed by a large supply of young non-unionized Indian citizens at low Indian prices (at will work at low wages and no additional benefits, open ended work hours, a $ucked up legal system in India, little or no legal recourse in India or the employer's country), this is an ideal perennial high yield labor-gold mine for any for-profit international corporation.  Simply put, its corporate head honchos from one hemisphere harvesting an another human in the opposite hemisphere for fulfillment of wants and profit.  It has less to do, if anything at all, with unavailability of qualified workers in the US or any other country.

H1 B Visas by Company US and Indian
Cheap labor aka wage slaves and consumers in countries like China, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and South East Asian countries will continue to attract international corporations for several years to come.  Water flows from higher to lower pressure, jobs flow from higher to lower wages.  This is not in the interest of a job seeking American, on the other side, American corporations are entitled to pursue profit by shipping jobs overseas where they have a higher chance of making higher money.  This is American capitalism aka profit system folks.  Globalization nonsense has taken away food from the dining tables of American children under the mask of whatever BS they can come up with.  Recently someone compared H1B workers in California to an "infestation", how the fook is this okay?  I love the USA and I don't want it to become India.

It happened over about 6 years and involved 13 million dollars, 13 million dollars!!!  This SOB should have made atleast 30 million in 6 years screwing desperate fellow countrymen.  13, that turned out to be unlucky for Phaniraju Bhimaraju.  Someone shock me by advising me that his origin is from the State of Andhra Pradesh in India.  It is noted that on March 22, 2013, Julie Rose of WFAE, reports in her article titled Charlotte Businessman Pleads Guilty to Immigration Fraud Scheme that  a Charlotte resident pleaded guilty in federal court this week to running an immigration scheme that parlayed hundreds of temporary work visas into profits of $13.2 million.
So a Charlotte man named Phani Raju Bhima Raju set up shop as a middleman. He recruited people from his native India – and other countries - to allegedly work for his Pineville tech company called iFuturistics.

In reality, Raju was farming those workers out to companies across the country and making a handy profit of over $13 million.
Phaniraju Bhimaraju of Charlotte North Carolina, arrest dated Nov 28, 2012
That was over a period of six years ending last November when Raju got caught. In one episode straight out of a con-man movie, Raju got word that Immigration was coming to check on all the H-1B workers he claimed to have in Pineville, so he filled an empty office with fake employees and new computers to throw inspectors off the scent. A month later, the investigators came back to find the same office dark and deserted.
Spradlin won't say how Raju's fraud was ultimately discovered, but court documents indicate at least one woman complained to authorities after coming to the U.S. for the promise of a $60,000 job, only to be given no work and no reimbursement of her $2,500 security deposit.

"That's another common thing that we see referred to as 'benching' where these people don't actually work and they're paying to take a position that they're not actually being given," says Spradlin.

Imtiaz Muqbil writes,

During the six month period from March through August 2009, Mission India’s consular sections identified a total of 3,596 cases of suspected visa fraud (Chennai – 1,237, New Delhi – 949, Mumbai – 809, Hyderabad – 523, Kolkata – 78). 5. Most of India’s fraudulent applicants come from specific and easily defined regional areas within each consular district.

“These states have some of the most mobile populations in India and the largest concentrations of expatriate communities overseas, including in the United States. In New Delhi, cases originating from the Punjab comprise the majority of its IV (Immigrant Visa) and fraud caseloads, while the same can be said in Mumbai with Gujarat. Chennai and Hyderabad’s fraud workload comes principally from Andhra Pradesh.”

It says that “B1/B2 visa fraud is the most commonplace.   Regionally-based fraud rings throughout the country, but especially in Hyderabad, continue to produce fraudulent documents for visa application and travel purposes. Some visa “consultants” and travel agents specialize in fraudulent experience letters and fake document packages, which include passport copies of false relatives, bogus financial documents, and affidavits of support.”

Asian Indians in America-An Asian Indian Student's Perspective

There are many Asian Indian students in Cleveland State University and Case Western Reserve University and one has to wonder if they get any kind of help from the many Asian Indian groups in Cleveland and Northeast Ohio.  Siddharth Sehgal a graduate student at University of Alabama at Birmingham and a columnist at the University student newspaper writes an interesting article presented below.

NRI Indian community - missing in action from the lives of new Indian students in US by Siddharth Sehgal.

It’s a tricky question, whenever I think about the help and assistance that is available to new students from India from the Indian community here in United States, rarely anything comes into my mind that I can credit to the Indian community and by that I mean Indians who are already settled here with family, job and businesses.

The only support system I had was the help I got from the Indian students already living here but as I said in the beginning it’s a tricky question because everyone has their own experience, each student has his own story to tell whether good or bad.  But on a general level and the students that I have met and known over the years didn’t get any support from the Indian community.

Shakespeare once quoted that expectation is the root of all heartache but I really don’t think that a new comer to United States would have big expectations with the NRI community, of course that’s just me but from apartments to food, from transportation to telephone all kinds of basic sustainable requirements are provided for by other Indian students. The things where a new student should definitely get support from the Indian community is the guidance on how things work in US, the cultural differences, community involvement and other crucial information. I was lucky to have the guidance of few kindhearted Indians who shared their valuable experience with me which helped me a lot in my academic and professional endeavor but not every Indian student enjoys such privileges and there are several reasons for that.

Birmingham Hindu Temple and Cultural Center

Most of the time students don’t know whom to ask for help and great many times the Indians who are well settled here don’t bother to reach out to their struggling young compatriots. I have seen and experienced this wide gap firsthand in Pelham temple when I was doing a signature campaign in support of India against corruption movement. It was only after I was shown the door, I was told about the politics that has divided the seemingly unified community. Even here at UAB (University of Alabama at Birmingham), there are two types of Indian students. One who came from India and the other who are of Indian origin but are born and raised in United States, popularly known as ABCDs. Though, I have good friends in both these groups but very rarely I have seen people in both these categories interacting with each other. When I was starting my journey at UAB, I didn’t have any ABCD friend. My roommates told me that most of the ABCD students maintain distance from other Indian students. When I asked the reason behind this rift, I didn’t get any satisfactory answer and even today, it’s somewhat of a mystery to me.

But the story didn’t end there because then we have subdivisions in Indian students itself. There are groups of Marathis, Guajaratis, Bengalis, Tamils and God knows how many other different clusters that live on loosely exclusive bases. Student from one state usually live together and being from a Hindi-speaking state in India, I had a really hard time adjusting with my roommates; I was always on the sidelines. Many times, these students get help from their paternal state cultural groups like Bengali, Tamil or Telegu organizations. I have many Telugu and Bengali friends who would often visit their respective community gatherings and festive celebrations but rarely people from other states attend these meetings. Either they are not invited or they have an organization of their own.

It was a bit amusing, ironical and pleasant fact that I never had anything else to identify with other than my country. There is a saying that society doesn’t owe us anything and that indeed is true, but from the lessons I have learned here in United States I think, things can be changed a bit but as I said earlier, that’s just my viewpoint. After all, we all fight our own battles.

Bollywood hindi movies are made by asses for the masses

Bollywood's hindi films are made for the masses by asses is a remark that is attributed to Sunil Gavaskar, a famous cricket player of India.  He is right.  This is the biggest sixer hit by Sunil Gavaskar.

Bollywood's hindi movies offer escapism for the idiots.  Here is what Amitabh Bachan, the most famous Bollywood actor is reported to have said about Bollywood's hindi movies.

Masses worshipping asses

CNN: Is Bollywood escapism for the Indian people?

Amitabh Bachchan: "You have to see it in a larger perspective. There are large numbers of people in India below the poverty line, there are large numbers of people who lead a meager existence. They want to find a little escape from the hardships of life, and come and watch something colorful and exciting and musical. Indian cinema provides that. So yes, the content of our television and our cinema is escapist in nature because we are there to provide entertainment.  The select group of people who do make realistic cinema, who do make cinema perhaps a little more acceptable to the Western audience, is a very small percentage".

What larger perspective is the Bollywood celebrity talking about?  Do the poor people of India want a little escape from the hardships of life?  No, its not possible for most to escape the hardship of life in India.  Poor people of India want food to eat, clothes to wear and a home to live.  They want to live in a pollution free environment which is nearly impossible in today's India.  They want to live like humans with a little bit of dignity and this too is difficult in today's India.  They want to provide a halfway good life for their children.  Asian Indians want to live in a nation where corruption is not the way of life.  The smart and educated ones realize that these dreams are not going to turn into reality and they get the heck out of that wretched country.   Anywhere but India is the motto.  Almost anywhere but India.  The good ones try to make a difference in their adopted country and/or in India.  Some expect a return for helping.  Some expect no returns for helping (eg: Asha of Cleveland).

This is India
Asian Indians don't want to see  super rich Bollywood's fruity arseholes prancing around a tree or park or on streets to loud disco music.  Or do they, I hope not.  Bollywood movies do not provide entertainment and if you think they do, I should feel sorry for your pathetic taste in entertainment.

Why Bollywood is made by asses for the masses

These are some ingredients of a typical Bollywood and Asian Indian movies:
  1. A hero who is likely a bad actor with no formal education and training in acting.  He sometimes appears shirtless and this appears like an attempt to quicken the pulse of the female fans and if indeed this is happening, India is screwed.
  2. A heroine who is kinda good looking and is very likely a terrible actress.  At times, she appears scantily clad and this is targeted towards the sex starved Asian Indian males.
  3. A irritatingly loud and pompous jackass (eg: Gulshan Grover) who plays the role of the bad guy for a significant portion of the 3 hour movie duration.
  4. The hero and heroine shitty dances in a disco club like setting and extra soft pornographic moves (the female dancing in rain in low rise clothing, moaning,  arching her butt close to the male's crotch kinda like a female lioness interesting in mating right away, shaking of the boobies and butt etc.)
  5. I could go on but I rest my case here.
Do yourself and your family a favor.  Stop watching stupid Bollywood movies and more importantly do not get your children hooked on to the Bollywood movies.  Bollywood provides zero individual nourishment.  Bollywood does not provide entertainment either.

Nandita Dutta of Dear Cinema reviews a Bollywood movie called Bodyguard in an article titled Bodyguard : Only star, no shine.  Nandita Dutta writes
It is hard to come by characters in a film who have been relegated to caricatures of  such a lamentable status. The film breezes past you in such a superficial way that it will be more befitting to label it a commercial for a bodyguard (read Salman Khan) than cinema. Or then it can be said that the writer-director has done a bad patchwork of stitching together stunts and songs, held loosely by scenes that have neither depth nor any thought for his characters. All that Kareena Kapoor is made to do throughout the film is show off Manish Malhotra outfits and is confined to girly giggles and tears in the name of a role
Recently, Katrina Kaif was seen moving her ass in popular song titled Sheila Ki Jawani.  At its core, this Bollywood song like others is about titillation by titty and butt shaking and covert calls for (lets call a spade a spade) fucking.

Aren't Bollywood love songs about this?
 Bollywood Dances aka Item Dances

Back in the old days (there were no movies or television then), Asian Indians had a word for a woman who did these kind of dances. They were called tawaif (courtesans).  Tawaifs worked at kothas/quasi brothels.  Men used to visit kothas to watch dances (old school strip tease), drink and get sexual services.  Some tawaifs were associated with prostitution.  Fast forward to the birth of movies in India.  Bollywood adopts these themes realizing that titillation sells and brings it into the mainstream.  Is this kind of entertainment appropriate for little children to watch in your home?  Is it appropriate for young girls to aspire to become a Bollywood Item Girl?  Its not about bobbies, it about brains.  Asian Indians refer to a woman as Jagat Janini.  But disrespect of women is passed of as entertainment by some Bollywood asses.

Who the fuck is Amitabh Bachan?  Who the fuck is Salman Khan of Bollywood?  I do know the awesome Salman Khan of the difference making Khan Academy though.  However, Bollywood does have exceptions, here is one of them.

Bollywood in Cleveland Ohio

In the Cleveland area, Tollywood and Bollywood movies have been screened in a theater on Ridge Road in Parma.  So far, the influence of Bollywood in Cleveland is marginal.   Asha of Cleveland has organized Bollywood parties in bars located near downtown Cleveland.  A bar is indeed the most appropriate place for Bollywood.  Using the proceeds of a Bollywood party to help the education of underprivileged children in India, priceless.  Kudos to the youngest and the newest Cleveland Asian Indian students.

Lastly, but not least importantly, Bollywood and the related quasi-Bollywood activities have no connection with Hinduism/Sanatana Dharma and should be kept out of all Hindu temples in general.

Asian Indian Names Figure in H1B Visa Fraud Indictments

Shiva NEELI, Ramakrishna MAGULURI, Villiappan SUBBAIAH, Suresh POLA,  Vishnu REDDY,  Chockalingam PALANIAPPAN, Vijay MYNENI, Venkata GUDURU, Praveen ANDAPALLY, Amit JUSTA, Karambir YADAV Indicted for H1B Visa Fraud

Federal agents arrested 11 individuals in 6 states Wednesday as part of an investigation into suspected visa and mail fraud. Matthew G. Whitaker, United States Attorney for the Southern District of Iowa, announced the operation, which was carried out by federal, state and local law enforcement agencies in Iowa, California, Massachusetts, Texas, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, and New Jersey.

VISION SYSTEMS GROUP, INC., a New Jersey Domestic Profit Corporation, with a branch office in Coon Rapids, Iowa, was also indicted in a ten count federal indictment that included one count of conspiracy, eight counts of mail fraud, and one count of ‘Notice of Forfeiture’ in the amount of $7,400,000.

“Today’s multi-state enforcement action is the result of an extensive, ongoing investigation into suspected H1B visa fraud, mail fraud, and conspiracy,” said U.S. Attorney Whitaker. “Dubbed Operation Pacific Vision, this investigation is the result of outstanding cooperation and collaboration among law enforcement agencies at all levels of government.”

The investigation is being conducted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in collaboration with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services - Fraud Detection and National Security Division (FDNS); U.S. Department of Labor - Office of Inspector General; U.S. Postal Inspection Service (USPIS); U.S. Department of State; Social Security Administration - Office of The Inspector General, and is supported by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Iowa.

“This case highlights the Department of Homeland Security’s commitment to identifying and dismantling visa fraud schemes,” said Homeland Security Acting Assistant Secretary for ICE John P.

Torres. "Ensuring the integrity of our nation's legal immigration system is a top priority for ICE.”

“This is a prime example of how the Department of Homeland Security identifies fraud,” said Michael Aytes, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Acting Deputy Director. “Our adjudication officers can spot inconsistencies during the application process that ultimately lead to the successful outcome we’re seeing today. Visa fraud undermines the integrity of the immigration system and I’m proud that our officers have helped to ensure that the American people and our customers can continue to depend on a reliable system.”

Federal authorities, with assistance from state and local law enforcement, served search warrants at addresses in Urbandale and Clive, Iowa; in Santa Clara, Rancho Cucamonga and Arcadia, Calif.; and in South Plainfield, N.J.

This investigation involves companies that sponsor primarily H-1B non -immigrants, or temporary workers in specialty occupations that require particular expertise. The companies that are the subject of this investigation have asserted that the foreign workers have been brought to the U.S. to fill existing vacancies. However, the companies allegedly have not always had jobs available for these workers, thereby placing them in non-pay status after they arrive in the United States. In some cases, the foreign workers have allegedly been placed in jobs and locations not previously certified by the Department of Labor, displacing qualified American workers and violating prevailing wage laws. The companies and foreign workers have allegedly submitted false statements and documents in support of their visa petitions. The false statements and documents were mailed or wired to state and federal agencies in support of the visa applications. The companies are suspected of visa fraud, mail fraud, wire fraud, money laundering and conspiracy.

“The foreign labor certification programs are designed to permit U.S. employers to hire foreign workers to fill jobs essential to American businesses,” said Daniel R. Petrole, Deputy Inspector General, United States Department of Labor. “Our agency remains resolute in its commitment with its law enforcement partners to investigate fraud committed against these Department of Labor programs.”

U.S. businesses use the H-1B program to employ foreign workers in specialty occupations that require theoretical or technical expertise in specialized fields, such as scientists, engineers, or computer programmers. As part of the H-1B program, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Department of Labor (DOL) require U.S. employers to meet specific labor conditions to ensure that American workers are not adversely impacted, while the DOL’s Wage and Hour Division safeguards the treatment and compensation of H-1B workers. Congress sets a numerical cap for the admission of skilled workers into the U.S. The current H-1B cap is set at 65,000 per fiscal year. H-1B aliens can work in the United States for three years, with an option for an additional three years (for a maximum of six years).

Those arrested Wednesday by ICE agents include:

1. Shiva NEELI,  Arrested in Boston, Massachusetts
2. Ramakrishna MAGULURI, Arrested in Atlanta, Georgia
3. Villiappan SUBBAIAH, Arrested in Dallas, Texas
4. Suresh POLA,  Arrested in Pennsylvania (SAC PHI)
5. Vishnu REDDY,  Arrested in Los Angeles, California
6. Chockalingam PALANIAPPAN,  Arrested in San Jose, California
7. Vijay MYNENI,  Arrested in San Jose, California
8.  Venkata GUDURU,  Arrested in New Jersey
9.  Praveen ANDAPALLY, Arrested in New Jersey
10.  Amit JUSTA, Arrested in New Jersey
11. Karambir YADAV, Arrested in Louisville, Kentucky

As with any criminal case, a charge is merely an accusation; a defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Hindus and hindu temple support Babu Bhai Patel

Babu Bhai Patel, Vice-Chairman, Hindu Temple of Canton
Tresa Baldas of Detroit Free Press reports that Babu Bhai Patel
lives in a half-million-dollar home, which has a mortgage, and owns 26 pharmacies with 80 employees. He also is vice chairman of the Hindu Temple of Canton. He has one misdemeanor conviction from 1997, although the crime was not disclosed in records.

"Mr. Patel is not a portrait of the common criminal or drifter," Patel's lawyer, Martin Crandall, wrote in court documents. "There is no risk he would flee."

Since Patel's indictment, several in the Hindu community have come to his defense. More than 20 supporters showed up for a detention hearing Tuesday. Several character reference letters have been filed with the court -- including one from the president of the Hindu Temple -- and many offer their homes as collateral to secure Patel's release.

Asian Indian Derogatory Dictionary

These are some of the terms used by some desis aka Asian Indians to refer to other desis and non-desis:
Indian Casteism is a form of Racism
Casteism is a specialized form of racism

  • Gora-White man
  • Gori-White woman
  • Kallu-Black man
  • Kalli-Black woman
  • Kala, Kalu-Black man of desi origin
  • Kali-Black woman of desi origin
  • Chinku-Chinese or oriental man
  • Chinki-Chinese or oriental woman
  • Mallu-Man or woman from Kerala
  • Katua-A Muslim man (referring to circumcision)
  • Katui-A Muslim woman
  • Gulti-Man of Telugu origin
  • Gultan-Woman of Telugu origin
  • Chapta-Oriental man
  • Chapti-Oriental woman
  • Madrasi-South Indian man or woman
  • Gujju-Man or woman of Gujrati origin
  • ABCD-American Born Confused Desi
Then some of us desis complain about racism in Australia.  The reality is that desis moved to Australia because they wished to, most desis were not invited by the Australian Government or Australians.  And its unlikely that the Australian Government will prevent them from leaving Australia, if Indians choose to do so.  Australian Indians should consider being grateful to their adopted country and take the much good and the little bad that Australia offers with equanimity.

Among Asian Indians, racism starts when an Asian Indian lays eyes on another Asian Indian.  The first instinct is to identify the state and language of the other person by observation (skin color, clothes, spoken language etc) and begin the process of making judgements based on that observation.  Is it okay for Indians to read book by the cover and not okay for Australians to do this with Indians?

As an example of racism in India; K. R. Narayanan was the first Dalit (belonging to Harijan or untouchable caste) President of India.  He is reported to have confessed that he was not allowed to forget his Dalit origin even in the Indian Presidential home, the Rashtrapathi Bhavan.   One has to wonder if APJ Abdul Kalam, one of the Indian Presidents who deserved that job, was similarly discriminated because he was a Muslim.  Further, one has to wonder if Pratibha Patil the current Indian President gets discriminated because she was linked to a bank scam involving several her relatives and her reported belief in voodoo.  HTF did this Patil thing become the President of India?
